Change Web Page Security Validation Timeout

Web Page Security Validation is used by SharePoint to help ensure that when a user fills out and submits a form, the data entered is not tampered with or altered before reaching the server.
By default, a SharePoint form will time out after 30 minutes. However, this can be modified or even disabled from SharePoint Central Administration.
- Ope Central Administration
- Click on Application Management
- Click on Web Application general settings.
- Be sure to change the Web Application drop down to point at the web application you want to apply these changes to
- On the Web Application general settings page, scroll down to the Web Page Security Validation section to adjust the timeout.
Important: while it is possible to disable Web Page Security Validation, it is strongly advised that you leave it turned on.
