Target a Web Part using Audiences

Web parts can be targeted at specific Audiences or SharePoint Groups. If a web part is targeted at an audience or a group, it will only be displayed to users in that audience or group.

To target a web part:

1. Navigate to the page containing your web part
2. Switch the page to Edit mode
3. From the edit menu on your web part, choose Modify Shared Web Part
4. In the Tool Pane, expand the Advanced section
5. In the Target Audiences section, enter the name of the audience or sharepoint group to target the web part to. You can also click the address book icon to search for audiences and groups.
6. Click OK
